Potential for Collaboration

 

One of the most important outcomes of the Leaders Collective is the potential collaboration across cohorts. Master's projects allow students to dig deep into an issue, creating a rich resource of research and recommendations for other students and graduates. 

 

In the video to the right, Dorinda Walker describes an opportunity for future collaboration to take her project, Magdalene on the Inside, to a different demographic. Magdalene on the Inside is a re-entry program for incarcerated women who have a history of prostitution, trafficking, addiction, and abuse. Female offenders who are close to being released will form a Magdalene community and receive treatment and other services to help prepare them to go home. Upon program completion, they will be paroled into the Magdalene program in the community and have a house and job waiting for them.
